Biography: 

Claire completed her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology & Anthropology in 2015, and is currently working towards her Master’s Degree in Medical Anthropology, both at McGill University in Montreal, Quebec. Claire has a wide range of research interests, having conducted academic projects in the areas of Health Psychology (factors influencing decision-making in blood donation), Psychosocial Oncology (media representations of the HPV vaccine), and Anthropology of Medicine (the epistemology of model organisms in marine biology).

Claire previously worked as a research assistant for SPIN from 2015-2016, and was excited to re-join the team in 2018 as SPIN’s Outreach & Communications Coordinator. In this role, Claire is working to build and strengthen SPIN’s connections within the international scleroderma community, and find new ways to keep SPIN centered around patient priorities and engagement.
